Rs. 150 Million Cocaine Bust in Panadura

COLOMBO (News 1st); Two suspects were arrested on Tuesday (30) in the Hiran area of Panadura with 3 kilograms of cocaine valued at approximately Rs. 150 million, police said.

The operation was carried out by the Walana Central Anti-Corruption Strike Unit.

Investigations have revealed that the cocaine belongs to a notorious drug trafficker known as “Badowita Piya.”

According to police, the suspect had been operating under the guise of a businessman while using his associates to distribute narcotics.

A motor vehicle allegedly used in the trafficking operation, driven by one of his aides, was also seized during the raid.
