Report On No-Confidence Motion Submitted To Speaker

COLOMBO(News 1st); The report containing the views of the Parliamentary Secretaries on the no-confidence motion against the Deputy Minister of Defence has been handed over to Speaker Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne.

The report was prepared and signed by the Secretary General of Parliament, Kushani Rohanadeera, Deputy Secretary General, Chaminda Kularatne, and Assistant Secretary General, Hansa Abeyratne.

The Speaker is expected to announce his decision on the report in Parliament next Tuesday.

A group from the opposition recently submitted a no-confidence motion against Deputy Minister of Defence, Retired Major General Aruna Jayasekara, to the Speaker.
