Rs. 24.1 Mn in Scholarships For A/L Achievers In North Central Province

COLOMBO (News 1st); Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne praised the Presidential Fund for delivering efficient and meaningful services to the public by staying true to its core mission. He made these remarks while attending a special event held in Anuradhapura.

The occasion was the North Central Province felicitation ceremony for students who demonstrated exceptional performance at the G.C.E. Advanced Level examination at the district level. The event took place at the auditorium of Anuradhapura Central College.

Under this initiative, 241 students from the Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa districts received financial scholarships. The Presidential Fund allocated Rs. 24.1 million for this purpose.

During his address, Speaker Wickramaratne emphasized that a significant amount has also been allocated for children with disabilities. 

Although the Presidential Fund exists, many citizens are unaware of the support it can offer, and the Speaker urged everyone in need to first inform their local Divisional Secretariat.”
