Lanka Sathosa to Import 25 Essential Items

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Ministry of Cooperative Development has taken steps to import 25 essential consumer goods through Lanka Sathosa.

Deputy Minister Upali Samarasekara said the move is aimed at addressing concerns over product quality and reducing the high costs incurred through intermediaries.

He added that the imports are expected to help ensure better-quality goods reach consumers at more affordable prices.
