Family of Four Arrested Over Teen Attack

COLOMBO (News 1st); Four individuals, including members of the same family, have been arrested in connection with the assault of a 16-year-old in the Galle area.

Police stated that the arrests were made following a complaint lodged by the victim’s mother, after the teenager was allegedly subjected to a violent attack. 

The suspects taken into custody include a mother, father, their son, and daughter, all belonging to the same household.

However, the incident has been further complicated by a counter-allegation. 

According to police, the woman from the accused household had also filed a complaint, claiming that the teenager had entered their residence with the intention of stealing household items.

Authorities have confirmed that further inquiries are underway.
