Thalawa Bus Crash: 17-Year-Old Student Dead, 47 Injured

COLOMBO (News 1st): The bus accident at the Jayaganga Junction in Thalawa has only claimed the life of a 17-year-old school student, while 47 others were injured, according to Anuradhapura Hospital Director.

The accident occurred this afternoon when a private bus veered off the road.

According to the Director, a total of 47 injured individuals were admitted to the Anuradhapura Hospital, and 46 of them are currently receiving treatment. The condition of three patients among the 46 is reported to be critical.

The bus was carrying more than 40 passengers at the time of the accident.
