Northern Railway Line to Reopen Between Colombo Fort and Kankesanthurai

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Department of Railways has announced that train services on the Northern Line between Colombo Fort and Kankesanthurai will resume on April 9th.

According to the department, the reconstruction work on the railway has now been completed following extensive damage due to Cyclone Ditwah.

The department further noted that seat reservation facilities are available for Mount Lavinia to Kankesanthurai: Departing at 5:15 AM and Kankesanthurai to Mount Lavinia: Departing at 1:05 PM.
