Meanwhile, President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, in his Easter greetings, stated that he prays for peace and coexistence for all people of the world instead of wars driven by hostility.
The President emphasized that, according to the teachings of Jesus Christ, hearts should be filled with love, patience, and forgiveness, and that people should move forward together like children of one mother, setting aside differences.
Meanwhile, in her Easter Greetings, Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya called for reflection not only on the significance of the occasion of Easter Sunday but also on the ongoing hardships faced by those affected by conflict in the Middle East.
