COLOMBO (News 1st); President Anura Kumara Dissanayake held bilateral discussions with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, at Sri Lanka’s Permanent Mission to the UN.
President Dissanayake extended a warm welcome to Prime Minister Albanese before the two leaders engaged in a cordial and constructive dialogue focused on strengthening bilateral relations, with particular emphasis on economic and trade cooperation.
The discussions also explored opportunities to promote tourism, attract foreign investment, and expand market access between the two nations. Both leaders expressed mutual interest in deepening ties and fostering long-term partnerships across key sectors.
