46 Police Inspectors Promoted To Superintendents

COLOMBO(News 1st);Forty-six Inspectors of Police and Chief Inspectors of Police have been promoted to the rank of Superintendent of Police.

Public Security Minister Ananda Wijepala stated that 34 Senior Superintendents have also been elevated to Deputy Inspectors General.

Additionally, two Deputy Inspectors General have been promoted to Senior Deputy Inspectors General.

Minister Wijepala added that the process to promote 5,000 police constables to Chief Inspectors has also begun.

He noted that these promotions, which had been on hold for the past five years, are being implemented this year.
