328 Organized Crime Suspects In Custody

COLOMBO(News 1st); Police Headquarters announced that 328 suspects linked to organized crime are currently in custody under detention orders.
Police Media Spokesperson, Assistant Superintendent of Police F. U. Wootler, stated that 38 shooters are among those detained.
Police Headquarters further reported that 1,721 local and foreign firearms have been seized during the period under review.
ASP Wootler added that these include 61 T-56 assault rifles.
