Transport Ministry Extends Seat Reservation Service For Post New Year Travel

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Ministry of Transport has announced that the seat reservation system introduced for those traveling to their hometowns for the New Year can now also be used for their return journey to Colombo.

This program was launched as a pilot project in conjunction with the opening of the Colombo Central Bus Station. The service is specifically available for the Makumbura–Galle, Makumbura–Matara, and Colombo–Kandy special bus services.

Sumudu Ratnayake, Consultant to the Ministry of Digital Economy, stated that passengers can reserve their seats by visiting the website www.busticket.gov.lk.
