Motorcycle Used in Jinthupitiya Shooting Discovered in Kotahena

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The motorcycle used by the two suspects involved in the shooting in the Jinthupitiya, Colombo has been discovered by the police.

Police say that the motorcycle was found abandoned on Maha Vidyalaya Mawatha in Kotahena.

Police confirmed that the shooting occured as a result of a clash between two organized criminal gangs.

The shooting, which took place inside a salon located on the upper floor of a building in Jintupitiya, resulted in one death and left four others injured.

The deceased was A 20-year-old resident of Mannar.

The injured individuals are 19, 27, and 28 years of age and are residents of Silawathura, Grandpass, and Kotahena respectively.

Following the incident, the injured victims were admitted to the Colombo National Hospital for treatment.
