GCE Ordinary Level Examination Preparations Complete, says Commissioner General

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Commissioner General of Examinations, Indika Kumari Liyanage, says that all arrangements have been finalized to conduct this year's GCE Ordinary Level examination.

According toCommissioner Generalof Examination , the examination is scheduled to be held at 3,545 examination centers across the country.

All security measures have been taken to ensure the safety of students facing the examination, with the support of the Police and the Tri-Forces.

Additionally, the support of the Disaster Management Centre has also been sought to prepare for any emergency situation, and especially to transport candidates who are unable to reach the examination centres.

Meanwhile, regarding mandatory documents misplaced or lost due to Cyclone Ditwah, the Commissioner General stated that two passport-sized photographs—with the signature of the Grama Niladhari for private candidates and the principal of the school for school candidates—can be submitted as a temporary document for candidates who have lost important identification such as their National Identity Card.

Regarding the release of Advanced Level and Ordinary Level examination results, Commissioner General Indika Kumari stated that the results of the GCE Advanced Level examination are expected to be released by April this year, while the results of the GCE Ordinary Level examination are expected to be released within three months after the conclusion of the exam.
