Two Brothers of Crime Boss Palani Niroshan Held for 90 Days

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Police Central Crime Investigation Bureau has obtained approval to detain and question two members of an organized crime gang, who were arrested on charges of murder, for a period of 90 days.

Those detained and interrogated are the two brothers of the organized criminal known as Palani Niroshan.

Information has also revealed that the suspects were connected to the gang known as 'Awa'.

They had fled to India, but upon returning to Sri Lanka recently, they were arrested by the police at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake.

Police stated that investigations so far have uncovered the suspects’ involvement in several murders that occurred in the Colombo North area.
