COLOMBO (News 1st): The first phase of the Evaluation of Answer Scripts of the GCE Advanced Level examination, which was halted due to the devastation caused by Cyclone Ditwah, has resumed.
The Commissioner General of Examinations, Indika Kumari Liyanage, says that the second phase of the Evaluation of Answer Scripts of the GCE Advanced Level examination is scheduled to begin on the 27th of December.
The remaining subjects of the postponed A/L examination will be held in January next year.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner General of Examinations says that so far, no information has been revealed regarding a leakage of the Economics question paper of the A/L examination.
The Commissioner General said that the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is conducting further investigations into the matter.
Additionally, schools that were not affected by the disaster are scheduled to reopen on the 16th of December.
The Ministry of Education stated that universities, national colleges of education, and vocational training institutes will reopen tomorrow.
