Bus Services Disrupted in Central and Uva Regions due to Road Blocks

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) says that bus services have been further disrupted on several roads around the Walapane, Nuwara Eliya, Gampola, and Nawalapitiya areas.

According to the Deputy General Manager of Operations, P.H.R.D. Chandrasiri, road obstructions are the cause of this disruption.

He says that 153 buses have been unable to operate so far in several areas, including Badulla, Mawanella, and Kegalle.

7,332 buses are currently operating across the island.
