COLOMBO (News 1st): The Sri Lanka Transport Board has deployed special buses for students facing the G.C.E. Advanced Level examination who have been affected by the travel blockade caused by the recent rockfall in Lower Kadugannawa.

Deputy General Manager P.H.R.T. Chandrasiri said buses have been dispatched from the Mawanella Depot, with services now operating via alternative routes to reach Kandy.

Meanwhile, Commissioner General of Examinations Indika Kumari Liyanage stated that if any candidate is unable to reach their examination centre using the available alternative transport arrangements on exam days, they should immediately contact the nearest Zonal Education Office or call 117 or 1911.

She further advised all A/L candidates to plan their travel early and arrive at their exam centres ahead of time, given the prevailing adverse weather conditions.
