33kg Hash, Heroin & Pills Seized In Mattakkuliya

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Colombo North Division Crime Investigation Unit arrested a suspect in Mattakkuliya’s Sirivardhana Mawatha with a massive stash of drugs, including hashish, heroin, and narcotic pills.

Police said the raid uncovered 33 kilograms and 270 grams of hashish, 408 grams of heroin, and 200 narcotic pills, along with pre-packed heroin ready for sale. 

The suspect, a 38-year-old resident of Samithpura, Mattakkuliya, was taken into custody during the operation.

Investigations have revealed that the suspect is closely linked to an organized criminal operating in the area, according to police sources.
