Mother and Son Slain in Southern Sri Lanka

COLOMBO (News 1st): A tragic double homicide has shaken the quiet village of Kotawela in Karandeniya, Galle, where a mother and her son were found brutally murdered inside their home.

According to police, the bodies were discovered yesterday evening following a tip-off from local residents.

The victims have been identified as a 67-year-old woman and her 25-year-old son, who were the only occupants of the house.

Authorities have yet to determine the motive behind the killings. Investigations are currently underway, led by officers from the Karandeniya Police.
