China Funds School Uniforms for Next Year

COLOMBO (News 1st); China has agreed to continue its support for Sri Lankan schoolchildren by providing free fabric for school uniforms for the upcoming academic year.

Deputy Minister of Education, Dr. Madhura Senewiratne, announced that the agreement was formally signed between the Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka and the Secretary of the Ministry of Education.

The initiative, valued at Rs. 5.17 billion, will benefit thousands of students across the country, easing the financial burden on families and supporting access to education.
