120 Local Councils Now Accept Online Payments

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils, and Local Government has announced that 120 local authorities across Sri Lanka have successfully digitized their payment systems.

Deputy Minister Ruwan Senarath stated that citizens can now make all payments to these local bodies online, streamlining public service delivery and improving accessibility. 

He further noted that the government aims to enable online payments across all local authorities by the end of next year.
