Car Linked To Middeniya ICE Chemicals Found

COLOMBO (News 1st); A vehicle allegedly connected to the discovery of chemicals used in the production of the illicit drug "Ice" has been taken into custody by the Embilipitiya Police. 

The vehicle, reportedly owned by Sampath Manamperi, was found parked at a garage in the Middeniya area.

Police have launched an investigation into the vehicle, which is suspected to be linked to a broader operation involving synthetic drug manufacturing.

Meanwhile, Piyal Senadheera, a former Pradeshiya Sabha member representing the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP), has been arrested in connection with the discovery of the chemical substances. Authorities believe the chemicals were intended for use in the production of methamphetamine, commonly known as "Ice."
