Over 20 High-Profile Cases to Face Indictments Soon

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka’s Attorney General’s Department has announced plans to swiftly file indictments in connection with more than 20 controversial incidents that have stirred public outrage in recent years.

A special task force within the department is currently working around the clock to prepare cases against a list of individuals that includes former ministers and senior state officials.

The charges are expected to focus heavily on the alleged misuse of public property and abuse of power during previous administrations.
