Traffic Alert: High-Level Road Restrictions Ahead of National Police Day

COLOMBO (News 1st); A special traffic plan will be in effect today (3) from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM along the High-Level Road and surrounding areas, as Sri Lanka marks the 159th National Police Day with a commemorative ceremony.

The event, which will be held at the Police Field Force Headquarters, will be presided over by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.

According to police, the traffic plan will cover the stretch from Thummulla Junction to Thimbirigasyaya Junction, with restrictions on heavy vehicles during the specified hours.

Commuters are advised to expect delays and consider alternate routes.

Additionally, the bus stop in front of the Police Headquarters for outbound Colombo traffic will be temporarily relocated to the Fonseka Junction on Havelock Road during the event.
