COLOMBO (News 1st) - Four Sri Lankan have been arrested by customs officials at the Bandaranaike International Airport while attempting to smuggle out a consignment of liquor and cardamom valued at approximately Rs. 15 million.
The suspects are residents of Colombo and Hatton and had returned from a trip to Bengaluru, India.
According to airport customs, the goods were seized during an inspection upon their arrival.
