COLOMBO (News 1st); The bodies of two women were discovered in a house in Peraghamulla, Ginigathhena.

Sri Lanka Police said that a mother and her daughter were found dead inside a house in Peraghamulla, Ginigathhena.

Neighbours had informed Sri Lanka Police that the mother and daughter were not seen for days, and a foul odour was emitting from the residence.

Accordingly, the police discovered the two bodies on Thursday (9) morning.

A 50-year-old woman and her 30-year-old daughter were identified as the deceased individuals.

Sri Lanka Police said that the deceased woman's husband and son were employed in Colombo.
