MP Akila Ellawala's house & property arson suspect arrested

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A man suspected to have entered the house of MP Akila Ellawala setting fire to his vehicles and property has been arrested.

The MP's house, located down Barnes Ratwatte Mawatha in Balangoda, was damaged in the incident.

Police said that the 42 year old suspect was identified as a resident of Balangoda, Udakanda. 

The arrest has been made in connection to the incidents which took place on the 9th of May.
