CPC says no shortage of Diesel, Petrol, Kerosene

Colombo (News 1st): The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation says that it has sufficient stocks of Diesel, Petrol, and Kerosene.

It added that the petroleum products will be distributed to ensure there is no shortage in the local market.

It noted that the Sapugaskanda Oil Refinery resumed operations and it is capable of producing all the necessary petroleum products for the local market.

The CPC said that the Sapugaskanda Oil Refinery is producing Petrol, Diesel, and Kerosene while imported fuel is available at the Kolonnawa and Muthurajawela terminals of the Ceylon Petroleum Storage Terminals Limited. 

Further, the CPC said the procurement for future petroleum supply is currently underway, and requested the public not to be misled by false rumours of a fuel shortage. 

The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation said that it will expedite the distribution of fuel to filling stations to ease congestion.
