COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lankan Actor Jehan Appuhami was released on bail on Monday (22) after he was produced in court.

Appuhami was produced to Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage, and was ordered to be released on a personal bail of Rs. 500,000/-.

The Slave Island Police informed the court that the suspect was first arrested on suspicion that he was defying a court order to remain in Union Place, Colombo during a IUSF protest on the 18th of August, and thereafter fled the area.
