Teenage boy dies after speeding car crashes with bicycle

COLOMBO (News 1st); A 13-year-old boy died after he was knocked down by a speeding car in Hirana, Panadura on Thursday (11) afternoon.

Sri Lanka Police said that a 55-year-old woman who was behind the wheel had lost control of the speeding car and crashed onto the boy who was on his bicycle outside a store.

The deceased was identified as a grade 9 student from Hirana.

The driver was arrested by the Police and she will be produced in court on Friday (12).
