Health sector in limbo due to fuel crisis

COLOMBO (News 1st); Hospital operations are at risk due to the current fuel crisis, warn health workers.

Deputy Director-General of Health Services and the Director of Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children Dr. G. Wijesuriya said that the health staff is ready to report to the workplaces using public transport services, however, for services to function smoothly the fuel crisis must be solved, especially for the public transport services.

He said that the Ministry of Transport has already been requested to deploy sufficient number of buses for that purpose.
