COLOMBO (News 1st); Minister of Power & Energy Kanchana Wijesekara noted that $34 Million was paid on Tuesday (21) for a cargo of Heavy Fuel Oil/Furnace Oil.

He also said that the vessels carrying Fuel will be unloaded on Wednesday (22) and will be used for power generation and industries.

He said the plan is to maintain the 2-Hour & 30 Minutes power cut as it is until the Norochcholai Power Plant is connected back to the grid, Minister said.
