COLOMBO (News 1st); TNA Member of Parliament Shanakiyan Rajaputhiran Rasamanickam has dismissed Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe's claims of being disrespectful in Parliament, and vowed to speak of the Batalanda Report if the Premier continues make accusations.

The Prime Minister during the condolence debate for the late MP Amarakeerthi Athukorala reprimanded the comments made by TNA MP Shanakiyan Rajaputhiran Rasamanickam, who had said that houses of MPs were set on fire because votes were cast in favor of matters that are detrimental to the country.

The Premier said the MP must withdraw his comments and urged the Speaker to conduct an investigation into these comments.

However, speaking in Parliament later in the day, MP Shanakiyan Rajaputhiran Rasamanickam hit back at the Prime Minister requesting the latter refrain from making false comments to the house.

"He had commented that I was linked to the LTTE. On the 6th of June he had noted that I had links with Pillayan. These are false," said the MP.
