100,000 uncleared Chinese apples given to Dehiwala Zoo

COLOMBO (News 1st); 24,000 kilograms of imported Chinese apples were handed over to the Dehiwala Zoo on Friday (10).

According to the Ministry of Ports & Shipping the apples were imported to Sri Lanka in February 2022, however, was not cleared by the importer from the Colombo Port.

Around 100,000 apples valued at Rs. 20 Million were handed over to the Dehiwala Zoo in the presence of Minister Nimal Siripala De Silva.
