COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Customs seized 1,985 Ecstasy pills worth over Rs. 20 Million upon inspecting 9 suspicious parcels at the Central Mail Exchange.

Customs Officers had inspected 9 parcels sent from Germany and the Netherlands addressed to people living in Colombo and Mahiyanganaya.

However, an investigation revealed the addresses were bogus and the parcels contained 1.116 kg of Ecstasy pills.

The drugs were handed over to the Police Narcotic Bureau for further investigations.
