Army Chief condemns misleading statements

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Chief of Defence Staff and the Army Commander Gen. Shavendra Silva has condemned a statement made by Duminda Nagamuwa from the Frontline Socialist Party, who had claimed there is an attempt to incite the general public by using security forces to open fire at the people. 

He said the three armed forces of Sri Lanka strongly condemn the misleading statement adding that the security forces would never engage in such low acts that would create tensions among the public.
