Claims of power cuts increasing to 10 hours FALSE: CEB

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) states that the rumors circulating on social media that the duration of power cuts will increase to 10 hours from today (8) are untrue.

The Chairman of the Ceylon Electricity Board M.M.C Ferdinando, Deputy Chairman Nalinda Illangakoon and General Manager Dr. Rohantha Abeysekera, addressing the media stated that power cuts are expected to be reduced to less than 3 hours, and will not be extended, while restoration work at Norochcholai power plant will be completed soon.
