Consult other factions when police tries to obtain court orders on protests, BASL request Colombo MC

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Bar Association of Sri Lanka has requested the Colombo Magistrate's Court to consult other factions when Sri Lanka Police is attempting to obtain court orders with regard to the ongoing protests.

President's Counsel Saliya Peiris, the President of the Bar Association of Sri Lanka flanked by several other counsel made the request from the court on Friday (6).

The President's Counsel pointed out that Sri Lanka Police is attempting to obtain court order in a one-sided manner, and such conduct cannot be accepted.

President's Counsel Saliya Peiris, the President of the Bar Association of Sri Lanka requested the court to consult other parties as well, when police make a request to obtain a court order with regards to the people's struggles.
