Private fuel tanker owners to halt operations from today (30)

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ceylon Private Fuel Tanker Owners' Association has decided to withdraw from operations from midnight today (30) against the non-increase in transport prices in line with the increase in fuel prices.
Its Joint Secretary, Shantha Silva stated that the discussion held yesterday (29) with the Minister in charge of the subject had ended without a solution.
The Association has requested for a 60% increase in transport fees in line with the fuel price hikes.
