COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ministry of Education announced that there is NO requirement for students who have completed their term examinations to return to school from Monday (4).
Secretary to the Ministry, Prof. Kapila Perera said that the relevant authorities have been informed to take steps to call students in grades who have NOT YET completed the term examinations.
As the school term holidays are from the 8th of April 2023, all teachers and non-academic staff members should report to work as usual.
Meanwhile, the Department of Examinations said that the practical examinations for the G.C.E Advanced Level Examination 2021 will be held as scheduled from Monday (4).
Due to the implementation of the curfew, the practical tests were NOT conducted on the scheduled day.
The Commissioner General of Examinations, L.M.D Dharmasena said that the students who were scheduled to sit for the practical examinations on Sunday (3) should report to the center on Monday (4) and get another date.
