Litro to deliver 1 Mn gas cylinders in 10 days

COLOMBO (News 1st); Litro Gas stated 1mn domestic gas cylinders will be distributed to the market in the next 10-days.

Chairman of Litro Gas, Theshara Jayasinghe said another ship carrying 3,600 MT of Gas is set to reach Sri Lanka on Thursday (24).

He said the unloading process of the shipment that reached the country on Wednesday (23) has concluded adding that the shipment is now being released to the market.

Litro Gas said around 100,000 domestic gas cylinders are being released to the market daily.

However, according to Litro Gas, it would take at least another week for the shortage to be resolved and queues at Gas Distribution Centres to end.

Furthermore, on Wednesday (23) night as well people were seen standing in queues to obtained Gas in several parts of the country.
