COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ministry of Education has decided to conduct the final term examinations for the schools in the Western Province, as previously planned.
Education Secretary Kapila Perera said all the term examinations will be concluded before the 6th of April 2022.
A paper shortage in cash-strapped Sri Lanka has led to final term tests for grades 9, 10, and 11 in Western province schools being postponed until after the April holidays, it was reported earlier, with tests for grades 6, 7, and 8 to be held at the school level.
Education Secretary Kapila Perera said the shortage in the Western Province was resolved, and therefore the examinations will go ahead as planned.
