COLOMBO (News 1st); The retired doctor from Piliyandala who was arrested, detained, and remanded over the discovery of a hand grenade from All Saint’s Church in Borella, was granted bail by the Colombo High Court on Monday (21).
Colombo High Court Judge Manjula Thilakeratne ordered for the suspect to be released on an Rs. 100,000/- cash bail, and two personal bails of Rs. 2.5 Million each.
The Judge also imposed an overseas travel ban on Dr. Sherley Herath and ordered the suspect to surrender his passport to the country.
The order for bail was made when a revision bail application against the Colombo Magistrate Court’s decision to deny bail to the suspect, was taken up at the Colombo High Court on Monday (21).
