COLOMBO (News 1st);  A criminal action was filed against an infringing party by PE Plus (Pvt) Ltd in the Magistrate Court of Kurunegala, Under the Intellectual Property Act No.36 of 2003 for the unlawful possession and sale of counterfeit products (PE Plus Turbo Discs) of PE Plus (Pvt) Ltd.

The Magistrate Bandula Gunarathne found the infringing party guilty of the offense and made an order in favor of PE Plus (Pvt) Ltd and imposed a fine of Rupees 300,000/-.
