COLOMBO (News 1st); Do not misinterpret new appointments made with the intention for administrative efficiency, says the Presidential Media Unit. 

In a release, the Presidential Media Unit has highlighted that many social media users have misinterpreted new appointments made with the intention of increasing administrative efficiency, especially with the appointment of the appointment of Gamini Senarath as the Secretary to the President. 

Accordingly, new officials have been appointed to positions in units that provide direct service to the public, including the President's Fund and the Public Relations Unit for furthering efficiency, it added.
