Police constable beaten to death in Tangalle

COLOMBO (News 1st); A police constable was beaten to death in Vitharandeniya, Tangalle.
Police Spokesperson Attorney-at-Law SSP Nihal Thalduwa speaking to News 1st said the police constable was attacked by a group from an ongoing hotel construction site close to his residence on Thursday (17) night.
In addition, the Police Constable's wife and another person were also beaten.
Sri Lanka Police said further investigations are underway.
