COLOMBO (News 1st); The Government Analyst has been summoned to conduct an investigation into the death of a 24-year-old youth due to the explosion of an AC Compressor unit at a hotel located down Deveni Rajasinghe Mawatha in Gatambe, Kandy.

Accordingly, the Sri Lanka Police said that the Government Analyst will conduct an investigation into the explosion this morning.

The 24-year-old technician who visited the hotel premises to repair the AC unit died after the unit exploded on Tuesday (04).

The victim has been identified as a resident of Ukuwela, Matara.

Kandy Police is conducting further investigations into the incident.
