SC allows meetings between Podi Lassi & lawyers

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Supreme Court on Wednesday (09) directed the IGP and the Director of the CID to allow lawyers to meet Janith Madhusanka alias 'Podi Lassie', identified as a powerful underworld gang leader.
The bench of Justices Murdu Fernando, Janak de Silva, and Gamini Amarasekera passed the order after considering the submissions made by the lawyer representing Podi Lassie.
It was further stated to protect the confidentiality between a lawyer and the client.
