Final decision on administering booster jab on Wednesday (08)

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ministry of Health says that a final decision on administering the booster jab for those over the age of 20-years, against the COVID-19 virus will be reached on Wednesday (08).

The Deputy Director-General of Health Services, Dr. Hemantha Herath said that the Advisory Committee on Communicable Diseases (ACCD) will convene on Wednesday (08) to finalize the recommendations in this regard.

He noted the Director-General of Health Services will issue the respective circular on the administration of the booster jab for those aged over 20-years, based on the recommendations of the Advisory Committee on Communicable Diseases.
